Venues

Violet: I wanna get back to 222 Ormsby today... I can compose a response but I want to cautiously move forward with the 11/9 date! IDK we already have 8 performers on the signup and more than one person in this chat who hasn't signed up yet... we did 8 hours of music under the bridge but this is a lot for a real venue...

so what if we split it into two nights a week apart?? and then this gives a fallback if we can't figure out how to book a second nite on 11/2. is this too ambitious? i feel like it's less ambitious then trying to score the perfect venue for all of us on our preferred weekend

Yeah we made $1000 last time which is about 100 people over the course of the night... some of that could go towards venue fees and idk i think it's a very attractive deal (assuming we can keep the momentum up with flyering)

Maya: It was more than that too because maybe 1/10 ( at least ) of the people didn’t pay or couldn’t break a 20…I think we’re probably hit 150 attendees

          Hi!

Thank you for reaching out to inquire booking a show or an event at The Mr. Roboto Project! First and foremost, we are a volunteer run DIY space with a heavy email traffic flow, so we are unfortunately unable to get back to every email. Here are some things you need to know before booking at Roboto:

We are a sober space, so no alcohol or other substances are allowed on the premises. Typically, someone from the space will unlock doors for load in at 6:30 and music must be over by 10:30 on weeknights and 11 on weekends. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other types of oppressive language will not be tolerated. Our rental fee for the night is $50 or 25% of door sales, whichever is greater, for members or $65/35% for nonmembers. Interested in becoming a member? Click here for more info:

Touring Bands: You must have a local promoter in place to secure a hold on a date. We have a list with contact info conveniently listed on our website here: http://www.therobotoproject.com/band-resources.html Thanks!-Brett Shumaker, Booking Coordinator
