Planning Meeting

Meeting Date: Saturday 11/9, 12-4 PM (actually meeting from 12:45 ish to 2 at the latest)

Meeting Location: Luna’s House, 6829 McPherson Blvd Apt 2(please don’t dox me lol)
Front door will be propped open, just come up to the second floor and let yourself in.

Goals of the planning meeting:

1) Be nice to each other, hold hands and ground ourselves into a space, get each other water and blankets and take a bit to ask how we’re all feeling/what we’re bringing to the space emotionally.

2) Argue about the dishes

3) Assign pre-show organizing jobs for this Uns33lie:

• Flier Maker(s) - Jay will do a flier, Emma will design insta posts

  • Jay does Flier by Tuesday(11/12), will need lineup and Venue

  • Emma does Insta Post by Tuesday(11/12), and setup facebook event

• Flier Printer Talker(s) - Violet will reach out to filler and Claire

  • Will reach out by Tuesday, Violet will contact printer 11/21 for printing

• Flier Planter(s) - Pwuppy will help flier, Vivian will Flier, Violet will flier

  • Flyering done by 12/7, extra push a week out

• Promoter(s) - Pwuppy is promoter

  • Instagram promotion happens in month before, push hard two weeks before

• Space finder(s) - Emma and Jay have ideas, Luna will talk to TLC libations folks

  • Done within the week

• Miss Manager(s) - Emma will tell people to do their jobs

• Line-up maker(s) - Jay will pick line-up

  • by the 11/21

• Logistics planner(s) - Vivian plans logistics, Luna will transport, Maya can drive with gas money

  • Within 2 weeks of the event

• Loose ends coordinator(s) - Maya, and Luna

• Sound Person(s) - Cereza will ask Dre, Emma will assist with setup

  • Maya and Jay will make a money plan, and put it on getoutline and we will take a consensus check on it in the future.

4) Make a timeline of when we expect people to accomplish their jobs. Due Dates!

• Find a venue

• Book about a month out

• Flyer about 2-3 wks out

• Finalize the performance times and lineup week out

• Get tech needs about a week out

5) Wax lyrical about the, like, overall vibe of Yule and how it resonates our soul centers or whatever.

6) Eat food and be way super nice to each other.

Luna’s Theory of Functional Meetings:
Operate on a modified, less restrictive, version of Robert’s rules with a bunch of consensus tools to keep things moving quickly, but also not use rules as a weapon to bludgeon people into giving up their power. Tools such as:

• Stack

• Consensus based voting system(fist to five)

• Making and passing proposals as a requirement to closing topics

• Keeping time

• Taking notes

• Agreeing to meeting structure/plan before having the meeting

• Having temporary roles, sharing the labor of meeting and handing each other bits of power for efficiency and self growth

• Always starting meetings from a grounded place of love/ritualizing the meeting foreplay

Decisions:

• Maya is treasurer, treasurer teaches door people.

• Maya and Jay will make a money plan, and put it on getoutline and we will take a consensus check on it in the future.

• We will fundraise for HRT DIY at the Yule uns33lie

• We will make a website for posting events and organizing, without using Wix. Emma and Vivian have volunteered to make it.

• Next Uns33lie will be December 21.

• Pwuppy will be marketing guy

• Emma has people to reach out to for venues, Jay will reach out to XC-17 release show location, it would be cool to fight for bigger more reliable spaces
