Everdark Mission
Crew Dogma
I envision UNS33LIE to be larger than just one event and more like a series of loosely-affiated DIY events and extended community. I want to kick this off with a solid foundation of values:
Inclusive
Transparent
Open meeting notes
Financial transparency
How does one participate in UNS33LIE planning? Do you just ask? Or you have to be friends with the right people or is there an idea of “membership” like with a co-op?
How are decisions made? Consensus vs Violet having the final word?
How do we allocate a finite amount of booking timeslots to a virtually unlimited pool of potential performers? How do we do this kindly and transparently in a way that empowers newer artists?
Accessible and safe
NOTAFLOF
Harm reduction
Consent culture and abusers
Disability / immunocompromised care
Anti-racism anti-queerphobia anti-bigotry in all forms
Fun, effective and good
Build a reputation for good shows and community
Financially support artists
Heal attendees in body and in mind through movement/ mindfulness/ music
Provide a path from audience member → participant → community member → co-organizer → performer
Invite DIY engagement and encourage people to organize their own events
Modular and self-sufficient
Artists take care of themselves and their team
Take only pictures and leave only smoke
